P3 Certificate Program

P3 Certificate Program is a two-day, hands-on program for licensed dental hygienists and dentists at the IADE Center in Colts Neck, New Jersey, October 16 and 17, 2026. Over two days you work on hand instrumentation, ultrasonics on both piezoelectric and magnetostrictive technology, and air polishing.

Each skill is taught, practiced with live coaching, then assessed chairside in one of five operatories, and you earn a certificate in each one. The program also covers prevention, documentation and coding, and the new technologies coming to hygiene. Fifteen seats. 14 CE credits through the American Academy of Dental Hygiene.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Demonstrate proper grasp, fulcrum, adaptation, and activation during hand instrumentation on hard and soft tissue.
  • Differentiate between piezoelectric and magnetostrictive ultrasonic technologies and adjust power, lavage, and insert or tip selection based on the clinical presentation.
  • Perform air polishing for biofilm removal, selecting appropriate powders and parameters based on patient presentation.
  • Execute a complete instrumentation sequence in a clinical operatory setting during chairside assessment.
  • Apply accurate documentation principles and select the codes that reflect the treatment rendered.
  • Evaluate prevention protocols and emerging technologies for integration into clinical practice.
